Ingredients
  

  • 500 g beef gravy meat
  • 300 ml cream
  • 2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 white onion
  • 1 sliced carrot
  • Large bunch of fresh rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon beef stock
  • Enough water to cover the meat

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 160°C (fan-forced).
  • Place the beef in a large oven-safe dish and add enough water to cover the meat.
  • Add the sliced carrot, chopped onion, dried thyme, and beef stock to the dish.
  • Cover the dish with a lid or foil and place it in the oven.
  • Braise the beef for 2-3 hours or until it's tender, adjusting cooking time as needed due to the high temperature.
  • About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the cream and add the fresh rosemary.
  • Return the dish to the oven and continue cooking for the remaining 30 minutes.
  • Serve hot.

  • Fresh thyme can be used in place of dried thyme; use 3-4 sprigs.
  • If you don't have rosemary, try using fresh parsley or more thyme instead.
