Durian Smoothie
Recipe by Clare
Okay, I get it durian isn't everyone’s cup of tea. But if you do love this spiky Southeast Asian fruit (or you’re curious enough to give it a go), this durian smoothie might just win you over. It’s creamy, tropical, and surprisingly simple with just three ingredients. And yes, it's even suitable for a flexi carnivore diet, since it contains no grains, no legumes, and low toxin natural fruit.
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 pod of frozen durian seed removed
- Milk dairy or carnivore-approved alt milk to just cover the banana in your blender
- Optional: A few ice cubes for extra chill
Place the peeled banana and the seedless durian pod into a jug. (You can microwave the durian if frozen gentle on defrost in the microwave until you can get the seed out, make sure not to heat it).
Pour milk over the fruit, just enough to cover the banana.
Use a hand blender to blend everything until smooth and creamy.
Pour into a glass, and drink it cold
